Our team delivered Christmas Shoeboxes to 8 local charities and community groups — sharing kindness and festive joy with those who need it most in society ❤️. These local charities help vulnerable people which ranges from homeless, young carers, women shelter, needy families etc. and hence it was an honour to bring them a glimmer a hope!!!

@sewaday at Cheltenham were truly honoured to deliver our October Half-Term food parcels to children on the Free School Meals register. What began as a simple act of service became a beautiful reminder of how compassion and collective effort can make a real difference in our community.

By coming together to share food, we’re reminded of the incredible power of unity and kindness in nurturing every child’s well-being — ensuring no child is left behind during the school holidays. The smiles, gratitude, and sense of connection we witnessed reaffirm why community service lies at the heart of what we do.

This has been our most successful campaign yet, made possible by our dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and supportive partners. Together, we continue to show that even the smallest acts of giving can create lasting impact. Thank you to everyone who helped make this initiative a success

A big thank you to everyone who supported our GSR Sewa Day Diwali Foodbank Appeal on Sunday (2 Nov 2025). Your kindness truly shone with the spirit of Diwali.

We collected over 100 tins of fruit, vegetables, beans, soups, box filled with toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, cereal, and many more essential.

Maria at the Whitley Community Development Association (WCDA) was surprised by the size of our donation and shared her thanks with GSR.

Your support will help families in Reading this winter.

Serving water (‘Jal Sewa’ in Hindi) is one of the noblest acts for humanity. Our Sewaday at Cheltenham volunteers were honored to provide water at the Sue Ryder & Cheltenham Half Marathon Run event this weekend — a true spirit of teamwork across our communities!

Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and giving. Sewaday at Cheltenham extended our hands to some of the children who may not have the resources to fully experience the joy of the season. By providing support, we hope to bring them joy during Easter!

Thanks to the dedication of all our volunteers and donors, sewaday NorthWest has donated more than 31 tonnes (31 thousand KGs) of long lasting food in past five years. Patrons can contribute by donating £75 to sponsor this Vegetarian ‘Ann-Daan’ (अन्न दान). Ideal way to celebrate birthday, marriage anniversary or a special day in the year close to your heart.
