Sewa Day 2018 in Bolton! A message from the team in Bolton:

A few weeks ago a number of groups in Bolton took part in various Sewa (service) Activities which saw more people involved than ever before!

Thank you to everyone that took part, there is a list below of activities that took place with a vote of thanks and details of each one. We hope you can continue these activities and please do continue to get involved in our regular food and clothes donations.

The team are still accepting donations you can contact them on on 01204 238018, or pm@boltonhinduforum.org.uk.

Activities:

Thank you to everyone for all these great activities!

Krishna Temple – A fantastic clothing donation campaign took place at Krishna Temple during Ganesh Chaturthi which was given to the homeless and needy of Bolton. Amazing work by an amazing team!

Bolton Council of Mosques – Litter picking took place in the Deane area, really great involvement by our partners in the Muslim community coming together for a great cause.

Bolton Interfaith Council – Volunteers from BIC and Young Ambassadors joined Bolton Sunday Street Kitchen to help the homeless and made an amazing donation of gloves, hats and socks! Well done to all!

Shree Kutch Satsang Swaminarayan Temple, Adelaide Street – starting at the Mandirs Pathotsav (anniversary) and leading up to Sewa Day a brilliant food donation campaign was held. All of this has gone to good causes!

SKSST also provided the venue for the Ram and Ravana building for Dusshera. This was the main focus of Sewa Day activities in Bolton so a huge thank you must go to the Mandir, the committee, Yuvak Mandal, and Bal Mandal for their amazing contribution. A full album dedicated to just the building of the Ravana can be seen at this link.

Veda Mandir and BHAI – the quarterly food and clothes donations were collected on the day by Bolton Community Kitchen! This is a regular donation now so if you’d like to make a contribution of food or clothes or anything at all which will help the homeless and needy in Bolton please do let us know!

Thanks to all again!
